A Toyota fez um novo recall nesta quinta-feira (24). Devido aos airbags defeituosos da Takata no Brasil, 379.689 veículos foram chamados.

Produzidos entre 2004 e 2017, os modelos da Toyota a seguir estão inclusos no maior recall da história:

Chamados de “airbags mortais“, podem expelir fragmentos metálicos contra ocupantes por problemas no deflagrador. O deflagrador é o sistema responsável por inflar as bolsas de ar.

Segundo a montadora japonesa, a degradação do deflagrador dos airbags pode ser potencializada por:

  • exposição do veículo ao calor intenso;
  • grandes variações de temperatura;
  • ou alta humidade do ar.

O atendimento aos proprietários de veículos inclusos no recall da Toyota terá início na próxima segunda-feira (28). Assim, cabe ao consumidor entrar em contato com uma concessionária e agendar a inspeção e o reparo do carro.
