Tulio Maciel, diretor do Departamento Econômico do Banco Central (BC), informou nesta terça-feira, 20 de novembro, que a expectativa é que a queda no desemprego aconteça de forma mais acelerada no ano de 2019.

Segundo Maciel, a aceleração na queda no desemprego se dá, principalmente, pelo maior aquecimento da economia nacional no próximo ano.

Segundo o Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) a taxa de desemprego ficou em 11,9% no terceiro trimestre deste ano, enquanto no mesmo período de 2017 este número era de 12,4%.

A fala de Maciel se deu em evento que aconteceu na cidade de Belo Horizonte para divulgação dos dados do relatório regional do BC. 

O direto ainda afirmou que além da queda no desemprego, é esperado que em 2019 a recuperação econômica das cinco regiões do Brasil apresente melhoras. Todavia, ele não apresentou dados que reforcem tais expectativas.
