A coligação formada por PT, PCdoB e PROS tem até as 19h de hoje, terça-feira, para apresentar ao Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) um substituto para o ex-presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva na chapa de candidatura à presidência.

PT tem poucas horas para oficializar Haddad como substituto de Lula

No dia 1º, o TSE barrou a candidatura de Lula com base na Lei da Ficha Limpa, por seis votos a um, e deu um prazo de dez dias corridos para que a coligação apresentasse um novo candidato.

A lei determina que uma pessoa se torna inelegível a cargo público quando o processo não é mais ível de recurso ou quando a condenação ocorre por órgão colegiado da Justiça – é o caso do Tribunal Regional Federal da 4ª Região (TRF-4), onde Lula foi condenado por corrupção iva e lavagem de dinheiro.

Os advogados de Lula tentaram adiar a substituição para o dia 17, o último dia em que pode haver alteração dos candidatos em geral, alegando que faltaria tempo para que os membros da coligação se reunissem para determinar o substituto.

Um dos pedidos foi negado pela presidente do TSE, a ministra Rosa Weber. Outro pedido, encaminhado ao STF e sob determinação do ministro Celso de Mello, ainda não recebeu resposta.

Tudo indica que Lula será substituído por Fernando Haddad, que seria seu vice na chapa original, e que Manuela D’Ávila, do PCdoB, entre como candidata a vice. Segundo informações da última semana, o anúncio deverá ser feito após reunião da Executiva Nacional do PT, prevista para as 11h de hoje, em Curitiba.

A defesa de Lula ainda tenta conseguir com que o STF se manifeste sobre os seus recursos para manter o ex-presidente como candidato. Segundo a Justiça eleitoral, se não for apresentado substituto, a coligação não poderá participar das eleições e seu tempo de propaganda na TV será redistribuído entre os outros partidos.

Lula foi condenado pois teria recebido da OAS um apartamento triplex no Guarujá (SP) como retribuição a contratos firmados pela empreiteira com a Petrobras. O ex-presidente afirma sua inocência, e a defesa sustenta que o Ministério Público não apresentou provas.

A defesa do ex-presidente Lula recorreu ao STF e ao STJ para tentar mantê-lo como candidato.
