Pix pelo WhatsApp: entenda como funciona a nova ferramenta

A partir das próximas semanas, os usuários do WhatsApp terão o a uma nova funcionalidade que automatiza transferências via Pix. Por meio de uma parceria entre Meta, Microsoft e Piay, será possível realizar pagamentos instantâneos a partir do aplicativo de mensagens.

A nova funcionalidade, que será lançada de forma gradual, utiliza inteligência artificial para otimizar os pagamentos. Com isso, os usuários poderão enviar as informações referentes às transações para um assistente virtual, que dará início ao processo de transferência.

Como vai funcionar o Pix pelo WhatsApp?

O Pix por WhatsApp será possível por meio da utilização de um ‘bot’, uma funcionalidade projetada para a realização de tarefas automáticas. Os usuários poderão enviar mensagens de texto, áudios, fotos e capturas de tela para um assistente virtual, dentro do aplicativo, que será capaz de identificar automaticamente o valor da transferência e para quem ela deve ser feita.

Em seguida, a plataforma vai redirecionar o usuário para o aplicativo do Piay já com os dados de transferência preenchidos. Depois, será necessário somente autorizar o pagamento via biometria.

A ferramenta será capaz ainda de realizar cálculos percentuais quando uma conta precisar ser dividida entre várias pessoas.

“O uso de GenAI para transações no WhatsApp leva o Pix a atravessar uma nova fronteira, tornando-o ainda mais prático e rápido, com o mais alto nível de segurança”, explica Danilo Caffaro, vice-presidente executivo de Serviços Financeiros Pessoa Física do Piay.

Além de automatizar os pagamentos via Pix, a funcionalidade poderá cadastrar débitos automáticos por meio de PDFs e programar avisos sobre contas a vencer.
