A Oi (OIBR3) investiu cerca de R$ 638 milhões na expansão de fibra ótica na região sul no período de janeiro a junho deste ano. Atualmente, a operadora oferece a Oi Fibra em 40 cidades da região.

Com essa estratégia o serviço de internet, TV (IPTV) e telefonia fixa (VOIP) em fibra ótica aumentou em 40% o número de clientes em Santa Catarina, 36% no Paraná e 30% no Rio Grande do Sul durante este período. Além disso, a Oi é líder em market share no mercado de banda larga por fibra ótica no Rio Grande do Sul (23,8%).

Já no mercado corporativo, a companhia está investindo em soluções digitais por meio da Oi Soluções, que registrou aumento de mais de 3% em receita de TI em Santa Catarina e 2% no Paraná no primeiro semestre de 2021.
