A China suspendeu as compras de carne suína de uma unidade da Pilgrim’s, controlada pela JBS (JBSS3), no Reino Unido. A informação foi divulgada nesta terça-feira (23).

Segundo a istração Geral de Alfândega da China (GACC, na sigla em inglês), a decisão foi tomada após as autoridades britânicas informarem sobre a disseminação da pandemia do novo coronavírus (Covid-19) na unidade da empresa controlada pela JBS. As vendas à China foram suspensas voluntariamente pelo governo britânico.

Segundo a agência de notícias “Reuters”, a unidade da Tulip, istrada pela Pilgrim’s, fica em Tipton, West Midlands. O condado metropolitano fica na região central da Inglaterra, e inclui as cidade de Birmingham, Wolverhampton e Conventry.

Nesta terça-feira, o Reino Unido ultraou a marca de 42 mil mortes em razão do coronavírus. O país é o terceiro com mais vítimas pela pandemia, atrás apenas de Estados Unidos e Brasil.

JBS tem rating elevado

A agência de classificação de riscos Fitch Ratings elevou, na última terça-feira (16), o rating de longo prazo da JBS, que ou de BB, para BB+, enquanto a perspectiva de classificação ficou estável.

Segundo a agência , a revisão da classificação da JBS retrata os negócios resistentes da companhia, assim como fundamentos de médio prazo e o refinanciamento de dívida efetuado no ano ado.

“Os fundamentos de médio prazo, o refinanciamento de dívida implementado no ano ado que reduziu o custo de capital e alongou seu perfil de vencimento da dívida, forte posição de liquidez e fluxo de caixa livre, e níveis moderados de alavancagem em 2020” destacou a Fitch.

Apesar disso, a agência acredita que a crise causada pela pandemia deve afetar negativamente o desempenho companhia no setor de aves norte-americano no segundo trimestre. Contudo, a diversidade geográfica e de atividades da empresa deve permitir que a JBS mitigue a volatilidade dos negócios inerente ao setor, segundo a Fitch.
