A Hyundai anunciou que irá investir R$ 125 milhões em sua fábrica de Piracicaba, no interior de São Paulo.

O montante será aplicado ainda este ano. De acordo com a Hyundai, a capacidade produtiva irá aumentar, chegando a 210 mil unidades por ano. Dessa forma, a planta poderá ar de 36 veículos produzidos por hora para 42 veículos por hora divididos em três turnos, um acréscimo de 30 mil carros por ano.

“O volume adicional de 30 mil veículos vai atender prioritariamente o mercado brasileiro, respondendo às perspectivas de crescimento do setor automotivo, que pode ultraar 10% em 2019, segundo a Anfavea. Com isso, a Hyundai poderá manter sua participação de mercado ao longo do ano”, afirmou Eduardo Jin, presidente e CEO da Hyundai Motor Brasil.

Entre as melhorias e ampliações que a fábrica irá receber, está a aquisição de novos equipamentos de alta tecnologia, que inclui robôs, possibilitando o aumento da produção.

“Nossa fábrica ou por melhorias em diversas áreas, principalmente nas estruturas de solda, pintura e montagem, o que torna possível esse aumento na produção e, consequentemente, maior capacidade total anual”, comenta  Jin,

Recorde na Hyundai em 2018

A fábrica da Hyundai foi inaugurada em 2012 com capacidade de produzir 150 mil veículos, mas somente 27 mil saíram das linhas de montagem. Em 2013, a capacidade subiu para 180 mil com a adição de um terceiro turno. Ao todo, 167 mil carros foram fabricados.

No ano ado, 193 mil veículos deixaram a fábrica graças à adoção de um fluxo otimizado e a contratação de mais de 200 funcionários. Contudo, a Hyundai produziu um excedente de 193 mil carros. De acordo com a montadora, 95% da produção do HB20, HB20S e Creta abastecem o mercado brasileiro.
