Após três anos de crise, o Brasil voltou a ter desempenho positivo no comércio em 2018. No ano ado, o País ganhou 7.200 estabelecimentos comerciais, interrompendo três anos seguidos de queda no número de lojas.

O número, entretanto, está longe de compensar as perdas dos últimos anos. Entre 2015 e 2017, mais de 223 mil estabelecimentos foram fechados no Brasil. Os dados são de uma pesquisa feita pela Confederação Nacional de Comércio de Bens, Serviços e Turismo (CNC).

Os estados com melhor desempenho em 2018 foram Mato Grosso (aumento de 2,6% no número de estabelecimentos) e Santa Catarina (2,3%). São Paulo também se saiu bem, com alta de 1,4%. Já o Rio de Janeiro, afetado por uma das mais graves crises econômicas de sua história, sofreu uma queda de 1,6% no número de lojas no estado.

A CNC também ouviu empresários a respeito de contratações. Entre os entrevistados, 75% disseram estar dispostos a abrir vagas de trabalho nos próximos meses.

  • 2013: abertura de 36.351 lojas
  • 2014: abertura de 2.064 lojas
  • 2015: fechamento de 101.916 lojas
  • 2016: fechamento de 105.291 lojas
  • 2017: fechamento de 15.847 lojas
  • 2018: abertura de 7.200 lojas
