BMG (BMGB4) fecha contrato para adquirir fatia da fintech O2OBOTS

O banco BMG (BMGB4) informou nesta quarta-feira (20), em comunicado, que fechou um contrato de intenções para adquirir uma fatia da fintech O2OBOTS Inteligência Artificial, que desenvolve softwares especializados em chatbots com inteligência artificial para a venda de produtos financeiros e de seguros. O valor da potencial transação não foi revelado.

A O2OBOTS fornece a tecnologia para diferentes instituições financeiras. De acordo com o site da plataforma, Banco de Brasília (BSLI4), Banco Carrefour (CRFB3), Sicredi e Creditas estão entre as empresas atendidas.

“A operação faz parte da estratégia do Bmg de criar um ecossistema de startups com competências especializadas, visando a expansão dos negócios atuais, geração de eficiência operacional e criação de novas unidades de negócios”, diz o banco.

Em nota, o vice-presidente do Bmg, Flavio Guimarães, afirma que a operação vai ajudar o banco a criar um ecossistema de empresas com diferentes especialidades que aumentem sua eficiência e, ao mesmo tempo, abram novas frentes de negócio.

“Nessa estratégia, já contabilizamos alguns cases muito relevantes para o Banco. Granito, Bmg Seguros, Bmg Corretora, Araújo e Fontes e Raro Labs são algumas das investidas que fazem parte do nosso portfólio e que estão nos ajudando a ampliar competências e consequentemente a nossa oferta de produtos, serviços e canais de vendas e atendimento a todos os clientes”, disse ele.

O contrato de intenção de compra foi firmado pelo Bmg através da subsidiária CBFácil Corretora de Seguros e Negócios. A participação acionária que o banco pretende adquirir não foi informada.

Última cotação do BMG (BMGE3)

No fim do pregão desta quarta, os papéis do Bmg tiveram alta de de 1,37%, sendo cotados a R$ 3,71, e alcançando máxima de R$ 3,74.

No ano, os papéis do Bmg acumulam queda de 38,17%. Neste ano, as ações do banco estiveram mais valorizadas em janeiro, alcançando preço máximo de R$ 6,00. Desde então, a por uma trajetória de baixas.
