A Amazon  anunciou hoje que está investigando ações impróprias de seus funcionários como vazamentos de informações internas e remoção de críticas a produtos listados no site em troca de suborno.

Segundo denúncia do Wall Street Journal no domingo, funcionários da Amazon estariam oferecendo dados confidenciais e auxílios ilícitos a vendedores por meio de intermediários, em troca de pagamentos.

Segundo o jornal, a prática é uma violação da política da empresa e é muito comum na China, onde o número de vendedores é cada vez maior.

“Mantemos nossos funcionários com um alto padrão ético e qualquer pessoa que viole nosso código enfrenta disciplina, incluindo demissão e potenciais penalidades legais e criminais”, afirmou um porta-voz da empresa.

Os intermediários de funcionários da Amazon oferecem métricas de vendas internas e endereços de revisores, além de um serviço para excluir críticas negativas e restaurar contas banidas da Amazon em troca de pagamentos que variam de 80 a mais de 2 mil dólares, segundo o WSJ.

Segundo o Wall Street Journal, a gigante de Jeff Bezos também está investigando diversos casos envolvendo funcionários, incluindo alguns nos EUA, suspeitos de aceitar esses subornos.
