Após abrir capital na Bolsa de Valores de Hong Kong, o Alibaba (NYSE: BABA) vendeu a totalidade das ações do lote adicional e conseguiu levantar US$ 1,68 bilhões.

No dia 26 de novembro, o Alibaba listou 11,2 bilhões de ações em Hong Kong, concluindo a maior oferta de ações da história. Logo no primeiro dia de pregão, as ações da gigante varejista atingiram 6,6% de valorização.

A oferta deve atrair investidores asiáticos. Além disso, caso a guerra comercial tenha um novo efeito negativo sobre os papéis da empresa em Nova York, a Alibaba terá as ações de Hong Kong como garantia.

A gigante varejista asiática informou em seu documento de abertura de capital que tinha como intuito investir mais em delivery e em novos serviços como a plataforma de viagens Fliggy ou a plataforma de vídeos online Youku.

Vale destacar que esse não é a primeira oferta de ações da gigante asiática no mercado de capitais. Em 2014, o Alibaba realizou sua oferta pública inicial de ações (IPO) na Bolsa de Valores de Nova Iork. Na época, foram captados US$ 25 bilhões.

Alibaba planeja criar fundo de investimento de US$ 1 bilhão

A Ant Financial, afiliada do Grupo Alibaba, pretende criar um fundo de aproximadamente US$ 1 bilhão, que irá ajudar a empresa a crescer nos investimentos em mercados emergentes. O sudeste asiático e a Índia estão inclusos nesses mercados, segundo um executivo da empresa.

Os planos para o fundo estão ainda em estágio inicial, segundo pessoas familiarizadas com o assunto. O fundo que está sendo planejado pela afiliada do Alibaba irá focar em “negócios estratégicos” da Ant Financial.

A Ant Financial está avaliada em cerca de US $ 150 bilhões e os investidores esperam uma listagem pública da empresa controlada pelo fundador do varejista, Jack Ma.

“O Alibaba sempre procurou usar o investimento em seu ecossistema para aumentar o tráfego e criar sinergias com suas investidas, então provavelmente é isso que Ant também está fazendo”, disse Shawn Yang, diretor da Blue Lotus Capital Advisors, empresa de consultoria e gestão de investimentos.
